Hi All,

I've just received confirmation that I'll be the new team lead of the News Module project of DNN. I used to be part of this team but since the Core Team reshuffled the team, not much has been happening. And all I saw was this vacancy for team lead. So I pulled a couple of strings, ruffled feathers, shook some guys, and now that spot is filled by me. It's good news not just for me (it's a great opportunity to get some experience leading a distributed team in the OS community) but for the DNN community as well. The module has been sitting in its vault ever since the team reshuffle and now we may get it out to the public in a much anticipated new release. Let's see how fast we can get this out the door.

PS If you have great ideas for the module, please hold off until after the release. Although I'm sure your ideas are fantastic and for the greater good, we need to get this train rolling and IMO we do that be releasing what has been built until now.
