"Contains" returns ALL documents

    I see that a lot of others have this same problem - advanced text search returns every document in DMX.  Has this been resolved?

    Can it be resolved?

    We're on 3.05.02 Net2.

    We tested the upgrade, but the search in DMX4 does not work either.

    Can we have at least one version where the full text search works? Please?

    We would really like the DNN search to look (using DMX Search on the results page) for files that contain the words typed into the text box.  But it either looks for the titles only, and searching advanced returns everything.  Quite frustrated. 

    Please please please!  Our Directors are screaming for resolution on this and we've been putting them off for the upgrade to DMX4, hoping the search would work - but it doesn't. Please help!

    Brad,

    This has been identified and resolved. A new version will be available shortly with this fix. It will also include a feature to include the search page in search results.

    Sorry for posting in the wrong thread - this should be in DMX 3->Search

    Where has this been resolved? What is the solution?
    I either get no results, or all the documents on the site.

    An Indexing Service query works fine. Is it DNN 4.7?

    OK, it was handled in DMX 4. I'll double check DMX 3 for this.

    How can we get the text search to work?

    We have the pdf filter working on the server. We have a catalog that indexes only the DMX file directory. DMX is connected to that catalog. It's on the same server as the database and the web site. Querying the catalog within Index Service returns the correct documents, but DMX does not - or it returns all documents. 

    We've re-installed, upgraded, followed the search setup again and again and cannot get it to work within the site.

    We got it.
    Reinstalling DMX did not work, but detatching and reattaching the Index Catalog a couple times finally got it working - which is wierd, because we did that a dozen times when we first set it up.

    I guess the Index Service needs time to build the index over a few days, then detaching/attaching the catalog will work with the index.
