Peter, my problem is probably because it is not compatible at all.  But I couldn't find the answer to this so I am sending it to you directly.

Basically, I tried to upgrade to DMX 3.5.5 from DMX 3.4.6 because notification feature when you subscribe to a folder does not work.  I ran the upgrade and the process went successfully.  However, I ran into this error:

"Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

So I reverted back to my original.

It seems like a sign that DMX 3.5.5 is not compatible with DNN 4.4.1.  Could you confirm this?

How can I fix my problem with the subscription notification feature not working with DMX 3.4.6 on DNN 4.4.1?

    I appreciate your help.

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,
It's not DMX. It's the UI controls that come with it. DMX 3.5.5 is compatible with DNN 4.3.7 and up. But the UI controls expect MS Ajax to be installed. It looks like you could solve this by installing MS Ajax on your server.

Peter, thanks for your prompt response.

It works now.  What happened was the System.Web.Extensions.dll was not the in the bin directory.  I added that and ran the upgrade again and everything is honky dory!  Though, I ahd to upgrade the Navigator to 1.00.8 version.

Subscription notification works now but there is a problem with the URL.  I will search for any solution in this forum first to see if there is any, otherwise I'll make another entry about it.

    Thanks.

    Ryan

    Hi Todd,

Presuming we're taling about DMX 3: have you set the values for all the 'xxx.Notification' keys in the Logging.ascx.*.resx files to an empty string?
