Trying to follow the info in the installation manual on WebDAV...but I am confused.

2008R2/IIS7.

The instructions say to edit the *.axd handler...but doesn't say which one...there are 4 of them on my installation.

Do I need any particular server roles installed in addtion?

Are there any edits to the web.config?

How do I disable MS WebDAV to keep it from intercepting (IIS 6 mentions this but IIS 7 instructions do not)

The *.axd handler that corresponds to the way you've configured the site to run. DNN 7 runs .net 4 for instance. It should be evident from the naming in any case. If you're unsure, you can edit all of them.

"Do I need any particular server roles installed in addtion?"
No.

"Are there any edits to the web.config?"
Yes. But clicking the WebDAV button on DMX's admin > Web.config page should make all the changes for you.

"How do I disable MS WebDAV to keep it from intercepting (IIS 6 mentions this but IIS 7 instructions do not)"
The aforementioned procedure should automatically disable MS WebDAV. You can see this in the web.config that it is disabled at the top of the handlers and modules sections.

Finally: don't forget to enable it on the Main Options page and set the application permissions for those that are allowed to use it.

OK... according to Fiddler, I get a 500 result on the request to Open in Word. Word fires up but no document is loaded.

In this situation, I am testing on a 2008R2 terminal server session with Office 2010. Cannot get Open in Windows Explorer to work or Edit in Word.

Need some help! I have Fiddler traces ready to forward.

OK, AD integration is tricky. DMX tests to see if the thread is authenticated. So AD needs to run before it gets to DMX ...
