Hi,

I have configured WebDAV and DMX 4 as per the documentation and I am now facing a PopUp of Windows login with username and password to be entered.

The popup is coming ONLY when i right click any folder in DMX and select "Open In Windows Explorer".

Very strangely If I cancel that pop up the WebDAV Folder Opens up In Explorer fine with Documents displayed in the window.

 

So I think permissions are configured fine, but still I am missing some other thing which I am unable to detect. I have to remove this popup window of username and password before I go into production.

Hi Guarav,

This is a strangeness of Windows. There is a call from your Windows to the server where nothing is sent about the user. So logically the server replies 'who's there?'. Then, when you cancel, all of a sudden Windows emits the cookies that were set by DNN and the server realizes who it is. Why? Ask MS. This has me pulling out my hair as well. In 04.03.02 I have moved to Digest authentication which should help, but it remains an issue.
