DMX Trial version 4.01, DNN ver. 4.08, XP Prof SP2

 

I did a clean install of DNN and only added DMX.  I did not activate.  URL is /localhost/dmx

Logging in as Admin, I created a DMX module and the main screen appearred fine.  I added 2 folders under and the main screen still displayed fine.  I rebooted my PC and module is there but the whole main screen is blank.  I can go into "Setting" and see the Document Exchange Module Setting section.  I uncheck "Show My Subscription" and click the "Update" button.  On the status bar, I see "Error on Page" message.

I delete DMX and add module again to the page.  Main screen is still blank.

 

I did these step on 2 PC with the same blank screen and "Error on Page" issues.

Problem found. When I installed, I did not granted proper privilege to Network Service and ASP.Net account. (Under XP not sure if one or both accounts need privs) I made sure the privs where granted before starting the initial DNN site.

I tried a DNN 04.08 and DMX 04.01 but I ran into an issue due to changes in the web.config for the new DNN version. But this could be that it's only a problem on IIS7. In any case: that one will be resolved in an upcoming release. It confirms my position that you should stay away from .00 releases for production environments.
