Peter,

I am running Vista Ultimate with Office 07, I can open up a document using WebDAV but when i go to save the document I get the folloiwng error message: "There has been a network or file permission error.  The network connection may be lost" and the file I was working with, ends up with all data being lost.  I also get a similar error when I open the folder in Explorer and try to copy folders.  I'm able to open in both Word or Explorer but I am unable to make changes, and I am logged in as an admin account.  When I login with the same account under XP I am able to update and copy files with out any issues.  Have I missed a vista setting somewhere?

Hi Arick,

Are you using DMX 04.02.03? And if so, did you make all necessary changes to IIS as described in the manual? I run Win2003 for my site and use Vista/Office2007 myself and can open/edit/save with DMX 04.02.03.

Peter,

Thank you for the response, I was not at the time running the latest version of DMX, I have since upgraded, verified my IIS settings but am still having the issue described. It's only when saving. I can read/edit but am unable to save. I have also tried to open the folder via windows explorer and can open but cannot add anything. I can run a fiddler session if you feel that would help, just let me know. Setup is Server 03 R2 SP1 and my client is Vista Ultimate SP1 Office 07 SP1

Peter,

As of this morning it is working from my Vista box, it may have been a problem with my system, last week I went through a lot of reboots. I will send you the Fiddler session on this if the behavior appears again. Thanks for your help.

Peter,

I have discovered what the problem is, when I don't have Fiddler open I am unable to copy/edit documents from my vista machine, however, when Fiddler is open I can do what ever I want to.  I am able to open a file in Word or open a folder in Explorer without fiddler, I am just unable to update anyting using WebDAV.  I will seend you the fidder session in an email as there are about 10 sessions to look at.  I'm not sure why fiddler would allow this but thought you should see this.  This is Vista Ultimate with UAC turned off.
