Not sure if I am posting this in the correct forum, but we have suddenly encountered a problem with a previously working document module. We are getting an error message -

     A critical error has occurred.
Access to the path 'D:\domains\Portals_Net2\DNN4x1\Portals\0\DMX\file_20060602_101134_XomYh_0.resources' is denied.

Permissions on the folder look fine. Not aware that anything has changed in the environment. Any ideas?

    Paul,
The error clearly states that asp.net cannot access the file. Either it has been deleted, permissions are wrong, or there is some other disk error (e.g. file corrupted). I can't think of any other reason why this error message would appear. For permissions note that the asp.net worker process (ASPNET under IIS5, NETWORK SERVICE under IIS6) must have full permissions on your DMX repository path.

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, was a permissions problem. We started migrating servers last week-end, but stopped when we ran into a licencing issue on some software. Everything was rolled back - everything except one site. I was wondering why changing the permissions was having no effect - I was doing it on the wrong server.

    Oh well...

    Thanks again,

    Paul
