I installed and activated DMX Pro about 2 weeks ago and changed my web.config.

Over the weekend we had to shut down our servers because of a building power outage. Nothing else was changed on the server running DMX. When I came back, DMX said that I had a licensing issue. I reactivated OK, changed web.config, and now everything is working.

Have I used up my two activations?  The site is currently on a test bed server.

What might have happened and how do I prevent this in the future.

DMX 3.1.3 uses a new activation procedure described on the Installation FAQ page on this site. It creates a host.config file in your dmx directory with your details. You can backup this file if you wish.

About the licensing: the licensing server remembers your server, so when activating a second time (even after having lost the DNN installation) it will not subtract a new license from your total.
