    Hello,

I upgraded from DNN 4.4.1 to DNN 4.6 and I am getting this error when creating a new folder or add an item.

    Unhandled error loading module.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Unhandled Error Adding Module to ContentPane ---> System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Void DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.ModuleSettingsBase.set_ModuleId(Int32)'. at Bring2mind.DNN.Modules.DMX.Controls.Admin.Options.i(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.UserControl.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Control.AddedControl(Control control, Int32 index) at System.Web.UI.ControlCollection.Add(Control child) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Control objPane, ModuleInfo objModule, PortalSettings PortalSettings) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

It seems like DMX 3.4.06 is not compatible with DNN4.6?

    Hi Ryan,
No it is not. There was a core change in 4.6 which has broken the module :-( I have a fix which will be released soon.

Yes, sorry for the delay. Luckily breaking changes are rare with DNN. But whenever you have a xx.yy.00 release of DNN it is best to hold off installing it in production until you're absolutely convinced it doesn't break anything.

    Thanks Peter.

I'll revert back to DNN 4.5.5 for now.  Thanks for the advice too.  I'll keep an eye for the update.

How about the DMX 4?  Is that compatible with DNN 4.6?  We are getting ready to upgrade our version to that.  Maybe we'll wait a bit.

    Hi Ryan,
Again I would not advise to go DNN 4.6 yet. I have not seen issues with DMX 4 but then I've not done extensive testing either and nor have any testers. It runs just fine under 4.5.5 as that is the most tested platform I believe.

    Hi Peter,

Do you have an estimate for the fix?

    Thanks.

I'd say Monday. I need a final test run tomorrow/weekend.
