We have localized SharedResources.ascx.resx

  1. Copy SharedResources.ascx.resx to SharedResources.ascx.de-DE.resx
  2. Localize Values
  3. We have also localize names *.Searchterm to become a German Name in the Dropdown.
  4. The Dropdown is great but no Results is displayed.
  5. So we see that the Search this name to make the Search

How we can localize the Contents from the Search?

We think this is a additional problem what we have include yesterday to see nothing Search Results!!!

Thank You!

I'm not quite sure I understand your point 5. Can you explain?

We need a localized Search-Mask so we need also a localized Drop-Down for the SearchTerm.

When we set the Value for the title.Searchterm to Titel in SharedResources.ascx.de-DE.resx then the Search bring no results when we set this back to Title then the Search brings the Results. The same effect is when we set the Value for the contents.Searchterm to Inhalte and so further.

We have this verify yesterday and can this easy reproduce.

Thank You!

Hi Guido,
Technically for now it was only possible to concatenate the various texts and add them as 'title' and 'remarks'. The search engine is not aware of linguistic differences but should find both 'contents' and 'inhalte' as text in a title. You should be able to verify that this is stored in the index as one long string with Luke.
I'll look at the parsing of the value of the dropdown in the search screen.

Found it, fixed it! There was a wrong field binding on that one.
Thanks,

When can we have a updated version with the fix?

We look also to localize the second Drop-Down in the Searchmask (Contains and Doesn't Contain)

Where is located the localization for the Field All Versions from the Search-Mask?

Thank you Peter for the fast response!

I hope you hate not use for the many many posts!!!!

Guido,
Can you get it from the beta site and give it a spin tomorrow? If all goes well I'll release it to public after that. I'm confident most issues were dealt with.

OK, no worries. I'll probably release anyway as I've been checking everything you brought up. Get better!

We have upgraded to 4.0.2 and now work the search also with localization but we see not how we can localize the contains drop-down in search mask.

it's optContains.Text in ViewCollection.ascx.resx, off the top-of-my-head. Can you see it there? It was put in with v 4.0.2.
