I have installed the module correctly as per the instructions. I have installed DNN  4.08 and DMX on server and tyring to acess it from a local computer on network. I made the changes in Local intranet Zone level and in my browser( IE7 to allow activeX scripts). When I right click on a file and click on "open in word"  a blank MS word template gets open also my IE and MS word is freezed for couple of minutes. Also if possilbe can anyone give the default path where all the uploaded files are stored ?

Thanks

Nick

Hi Nick,
Can you run a Fiddler session for me? This usually shows where it fails.

1.) I tried to debug using VS2008.. I get "File location not found" error at objWord.Documents.Open(file)
aslo

2.) when I'm trying to open a folder in Windows explorer I get Windows Login dialog box asking username and password... I have tried all login IDs including administrator's, but it keeps on asking me again and again. I have to cancel it two times to close the login dialog box.

I have installed DMX on DNN which is hosted on local intranet server. I am trying to access the file which is on local intranet server.
what changes,if any do I need to make on server in terms of permissions ?

Nick,

The vital clue here is the login challenge. It means that either the dmx webdav authentication was not set (dmxdav cookie) or there is another process that is overriding the call to the webdav component. Both can be examined using a tool like Fiddler.

Peter

PS the default path is Portals/0/DMX
