    Hi everyone,

Yesterday I bought the DMX Pro 3 and today I tried to install it, I run the sql script as instructed, I cheched the module list and everything was as planned up to that point, when I uploaded the DMX pro module I got an error at the end of the installation regarding the sql scripts.

I went back with the back button, not the explorer's but the DNN button and what I saw that in my module list was both the modules, DMX lite and Pro side by side .

I thought that this was due to a bug and I tried to insert an instance of the lite module in a page, just to see what would happen, but it didn't work neither does the pro module works.

I sincerely don't know what went wrong, I read the documentation two times before installing the module, now I cannot delete any of the two modules, in order to have somewhat clean installation in my hands and begin all over again.

    Any help?

    Thank you in advance

    Panayiotis

I dont know if i have the same problem but that i did got the error message that you didnt got.
I have DMX lite installed and but the DMX pro module today.

Since i have DMX lite the readme1.txt file says to run the content in the Prepare DMX3.sql  as a script. And when i do that i recive this error message:

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Ogiltigt objektnamn, 'dbo.DMX_Extensions'. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(SqlConnection connection, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, CommandType commandType, String commandText) at DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider.ExecuteScript(String Script, Boolean UseTransactions) /****** Make any repairs to Extensions table (v3.0.15- to 3.0.14+) ******/ UPDATE dbo.DMX_Extensions SET ControlToLoad = REPLACE(ControlToLoad, 'Bring2mind.DMX', 'Bring2mind/DMX') System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Ogiltigt objektnamn, 'dbo.DMX_Extensions'. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(SqlConnection connection, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, CommandType commandType, String commandText) at DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider.ExecuteScript(String Script, Boolean UseTransactions) UPDATE dbo.DMX_Extensions SET Icon16 = REPLACE(Icon16, 'Bring2mind.DMX', 'Bring2mind/DMX') System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Ogiltigt objektnamn, 'dbo.DMX_Extensions'. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(SqlConnection connection, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, CommandType commandType, String commandText) at DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider.ExecuteScript(String Script, Boolean UseTransactions) UPDATE dbo.DMX_Extensions SET Icon32 = REPLACE(Icon32, 'Bring2mind.DMX', 'Bring2mind/DMX')

    Greatful for help.

I dont dare to upload the PA until the script works.

    The modulename didnt change.

    Hi,

I have the same problem. Did you find a solution. I don't want either to upgrade if the script SQL is not working...

OK, I see it. This is not a critical error. I need to put a condition around it so that it doesn't run on and old DMX Lite installation. It doesn't do any harm in any case.

If you want to be sure everything is OK, check the ModuleDefinitions and verify there is just one DMX module called Bring2mind\DMX installed.

    It is critical ;-(

After executing the scrit I am uploading the module and I encounter many errors during the process. As a result all my old DMX Lite modules have desapeared. And I am not able to add nore old DMX Lite or DMX modules in pages.

Here is part of the error message while installing.

Début de traitement de script Sql : 01.00.00.SqlDataProvider
Failure Erreur pendant la génération SQL : System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: There is already an object named 'DMX_CleanupLog' in the database.

    Further :

Début de traitement de script Sql : 01.00.04.SqlDataProvider
Failure Erreur pendant la génération SQL : System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: There is already an object named 'DMX_GetDeletedItems'

    and at the end :

ExceptionSystem.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Violation of UNIQUE KEY constraint 'IX_ModuleDefinitions'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'ModuleDefinitions'.

Please let me know the best procedure to roll back quickly and be able to add DMX Pro modules on pages where DMX lite have deseapered.

    Thanks a lot.
    Thomas.

    Found the solution ;-)

Delete ALL DMX records in the desktopmodules table, delete all subdirectories under modules/DMX and reinstall DMX Pro.

Pfw, I'm happy you found a way out. I'm not sure where it has gone wrong because you should have only 1 document exchange module definition after you upload the DMX Pro. This is important as you will otherwise not replace current instances in the portal with the new version.
