I'm attempting another upgrade of DMX 3.5.5 to DMX 4.2.1 on a different site than before.

I contacted my Hosting Provider, PowerDNN to have the check the WebDAV Setting before I upgraded.

I installed the DMX 4.2.1 Module and did not receive any Red Errors in the script.

When I go to the Page there the Module is Loaded, there is nothing in the Module Window. The only selection I get in the Drop Down Menu is for the License. I purchased a New License for v4 from Snowcovered.Com and I've received the E-Mail with the Account and Activation.

When I go to the License Page, I put in my Account and Activation codes and try to click on any of the 3 Buttons on the bottom of the page, but they don't do anything. The only thing I see are the words "Error on Page" being displayed in the bottom left hand corner of IE7 Window in the Status Bar.

I've checked the Web Config and it appears to have been modified according to the DMX 4 Instructions.

I've tried setting the entire site to the Default Blue Skin just in case there was something wrong with the Custom Skin.

No Luck

Please Advise :(

Sorry forgot to mention I'm running DNN 4.8.2 with All Core Modules Updated. DMX 4 is the only Custom Module installed.

Hi Kevin,

It appears all Ajax functionality is disabled. This can be because (1) there is still a whitespace filter active, or (2) because MS Ajax has been disabled on the installation. You can verify (1) yourself under the host settings. For (2) open a support ticket with PowerDNN.

Hmm, I could swear that Ajax was definately Enabled and the White Space Filter was Disabled. I'll have them do a Restore and try again. I'll let you know. Thanks

I asked PowerDNN to check the SQL Database for proper installation and this is the reply I just got. Do you have any idea what part of the installation needs changed to resolve this.

Please read my previous Post.

Any suggestions on Step #4? I've restored the site and asked PowerDNN to re-check the ASP.NET and WebDAV settings and they told me that everything is in order.

I just don't want to keep going around in circles.

I've solved my problem. I had PowerDNN Check all the WebDAV and ASP.NET stuff and they didn't find anything so I decided to compare my Web.Config file with another site I've got that uses Ajax and this is what I found.

On the site I was trying to upgrade to DMX 4 on, even though the Enable Ajax Box was checked, these lines of Code were missing from my Web.Config under the section.

I pasted these lines in under the other items in the section and before the , then I uploaded the new Web.Config and installed the DMX 4 Module and everything worked.

The DMX 4 Module installed with Zero Errors, I was able to install my Activation Code, Ran the DMX3 to DMX 4 Script under the Admin  / Scripts Menu, and then ran the Re-Index Installation under the Admin / Scripts Menu, all with Zero Errors.

I hope this might help someone else if they are having a similar problem.

I tried to post the missing Web.Config Code but it doesn't show up. It starts with a commented out section that says "ASP.NET Ajax Support".
