I am having an issue getting files to upload (or appear) when the file tree gets more than 3 levels deep. To the user posting the file it seems to go fine, but to everyone else the file does not appear. There is indication that the file was/is there but I can not retrieve, edit, nothing with it.

Is there a limitation to the levels you can have in the tree structure?

Any help is appreciated! I have been given the task of figuring out our website / ftp site so I am fairly new to DMX and .net nuke at this point in the game.

The level is not an issue. DMX is unaware of depth of levels. The problem must lie in permissions. Have you ensured that there are no approval roles specified for the containing folder? Have you ever specified approval roles in the installation and then deleted the roles or users?

oops -

It does look like our administrator for some reason used the approval check box. After removing it, the same issue still happens. Is there a way/procedure to "undo" this action or so I need to start over with this specific project?

It also looks like for every sub folder I need to add the role for each sub folder to each user. Is there a way to have all sub folders be attached to the same role as the parent?

Will reading the Admin manual for V3 help me figure out these permission issues we are having - or should I wait for the V4 one?

Thanks in advance!

Mike,

First the DMX 4 manual (admin and user) is integrated into the module (under the help menu). You can try to do a 'unify permissions' on the parent folder. This should reset the permissionss all the way down. Let me know if the problem persists.
