HI

Just wondering if anyone could help.

I currently operate DMX3 but are trying DMX4 and have a few questions:-

I've setup a network (webdav) folder on the c:drive and given access permission to everyone on the computer.

Installed DMX4 and under options changed the repository location to reflect the location of the webdav folder.  When I update I get the message: The path cannot be accessed. Please check that the worker process has full access to the path.

I can access the folder through My computer and read write ok any ideas?

I'm running vista and IIS7

Many thanks

Barry

Hi Barry,

First: DMX WebDAV is a full proprietary WebDAV server. It does not operate through the Windows webdav service (like other products). This way we can handle all webdav functionality and integrate tightly into DMX (locking/versioning/etc). You have to switch off the Windows webdav for it to even work as otherwise Windows tries to handle the calls.

Second: if you want to use a share to store the files you need to get familiar with security and web applications. See also this thread:

Note that DMX will not accept tampering with files externally and might stop serving a file that was edited outside the module.
