Hi,

We have integrated the DMX search results into the standard DNN search results page.

However, a user carries out a search and the results are returned, they then click on the link which takes them to the folder within DMX where the document is located. If there are only a handful of files in the folder it easily highlights the location of the file, however, if there is say 100/200 documents in the folder the user has to go and find the file.

Question is, would it be possible when the user clicks the link from the search results that it goes straight to position in the list where the file is rather than the user scrolling to find it?

Hi Gary,

Would it be an idea to use a 'template view' DMX for your default landing page? That way you immediately zoom in on the document because everything is querystring driven. You can do this by changing your most public DMX to use template view (check templates manual under help menu). Then go to main options and select this instance as the 'default DMX'.

Let me know if you want to use the regular Ajax UI for this, though.

Hi Peter, we are using the regular Ajax UI for this, I really dont want to change it to templates as it would just confuse our users - you know what end users can be like.

Gary.

Hi Gary,

OK, point taken. I'll see about the focus issue. The risk is that when fidgeting with focus other bits of the UI might get affected.
