Sorry if this is painfully obvious, but how do you install the DMX module? I've read the documentation and edited the web.config properly (I think).

I've tried uploading the 'Bring2mind.DMX_03.02.00.zip' using the module upload dialog and it does nothing. I've uploaded it manually into the 'DesktopModules' directory and still nothing.  Am I missing something really stupid?

    I’ve tried with DNN 3.1.0 and 3.1.1.

    Thanks….

    Mark,

The dotnetnuke site offers some great walkthroughs. The DMX module zip file can be uploaded like any other module. It should then appear in the dropdown box as 'Document Exchange Professional'.

Do you see any error messages? What don't you see? Can you explain exactly what you do to upload it, step-by-step, and what you see?

    That's what I thought.

Inside the "Module Definitions" page I click on 'upload a new module' then I browse to the zip file and 'add' it to the uploades (takes a few seconds). After the file is added to the dialog I click on the "upload new file' button. The site refreshes back to the module definitions page and nothing has happend. No error messages and no module.

Stragely enough I just saw this happen on another site (uploading another module). My hunch is that it timed out. How long did it take to upload? Did you get close to the request timeout (normally 90 secs I believe)?

No it’s more like 10-15 seconds (even shorter on my local DNN 3.1.1 server).

Then you'd better post about this on the DNN forums as it is a fault that occurs outside of DMX. The component that is malfunctioning is the 'resource uploader'.

FYI. It looks like my telerik R.A.D. menu was causing the problems.
