Per user folder root

What will be the best approach to implement a concept of per user root? After we create programmatically a folder for each registered user, we want the user to see this folder as the root folder and not have the ability to delete it. under this folder they should have full control on sub folders anf files they create.

Hi Avi, The challenge is the 'flexible root'. For that you need to adjust the core DMX if you want to use that UI, or tweak a 'ShortList' addon for instance if all you need is a list of downloadable files. The second task, which is maybe easier, is to determine if the user has a folder and if not make it. What type of UI do you want them to use? Peter

Peter, I'm curious how one would go about using the short list method to display files that could be downloaded. What I'm hoping to do is tie into an existing folder structure based upon a set selection and display the folders and documents that from the root folder. For example if I select from a list Module 1 I want to be able to display all the documents that have been loaded into Module 1's structure. I know how to take care of everything except get the list of documents and display them. Any help on this would be great. Thanks, Arick
