Hi Dave,

I'm not sure where you get the error. Can you elaborate by explaining the exact steps and where and how you see this?

Hi Peter,

I can upload the files and open them from Internet explorer, but when I right click and select "Open in Excel" I get a message box which says that the internet address is invalid.

Hi Dave,

Then the internet address is not valid and Excel can't get to the file. This is not a DMX error. If you want you can send me a Fiddler trace file (see pinned post in this forum) and I'll have a look.

Thanks Peter,

I am sure you are right, unfortunatley for me I don't know how to use fiddler.

Here is the page error.

I have uploaded the file using the Document Manager, so why can it not find it? Also, if I double click the file it opens.

Peter, I really need to get this working for a client, if you could login to my portal and check out the settings I would be grateful.

Hi Peter,

I have followed the installation document to the letter but when I make the changes to IIS (prohibit WebDAV and .axd), I get a DNN error message.

Can you help?

Hi Peter,

I get the DNN error page with logo and a link to return to site, the only other text on the page is "Windows Server 2003".

I think it maybe to do with the .axd handler, but I can't work it out. I sent you a copy of the web.config hoping it may cast some light as to what I have done wrong.

My previous email also contained the website address, if you go to it you will see the error message I am talking about.

Regards and thanks in advance for your time.

Dave

I've noticed that a lot of outlook pst recovery issues can be solved by either 1) updating the registry, 2) searching for missing drivers or 3) system restore. I think it has something to do with Microsoft updates. Have your IT guy look at the central server, too. That's usually where it starts when it comes from within one single firewall. Cheers!
