Hello
We are currently evaluating version 5.3.2 and are experiencing a problem with email notifications.

We have configured the module to send an email notification when a user adds a document to a folder and have checked the 'Attach file' checkbox in order to have the document come through as an attachment on the notification email message. When we add a new document to a folder we do receive the email notification but we do not receive the document itself as an attachment.

Can you confirm that this functionality is supported and if so can you think of any obvious reason why this might not be working?

Thank you

Mike

The release notes for version 5.3.7 seem to indicate that this problem was resolved:
"Fix: Notifications not attaching document to email (DMX-395)" and on this basis we went ahead and purchased a license and upgraded our trial to version 5.3.7.

However, it still looks like when we upload a file using Folder -> New -> File, we receive the notification email but it still doesn't include the file as an attachment.

By the way, we notice that if we delete the file then the email notification does include the attachment.

Can you think of anything we may be doing wrong here?

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the details on the error. I'll try to recreate this.

Hi Peter
After some more testing we think the problem only occurs for the auditor emails.
It's working okay for the other notifications.
Thanks

Hi Mike,

The Auditor never gets the attachment by design. It would create a flood of data going out as the audit email gets just about everything if used.
