I'd like to create a module which allows a user to view a list of files within a collection by supplying URL parameters.

For example:

www.testwebsite.com/Documents.aspx?CollectionName=ABC

I don't want to show the folder tree, and only want the user to be able to view the folder if they have appropriate permissions. So, my questions are:

1. Are there are any existing examples like this (I can't seem to find the src code for DMX Flexgrid, which looked like a good start).

2. What security considerations to I need to bear in mind, aside from setting the correct permissions on the files and folders when they are created?

Many Thanks

1. If you log in using your customer account on this site you'll see source code listed as well on the extensions page where you found the module download.
Check out the LetterBox extension as well.
2. None AFAIK. DMX doesn't easily allow content out and if permissions are set correctly on folder and file then users will not be able to pass through download logic anyway. So even if you'd inadvertently showed a document directly from data a user wouldn't get access.

Thanks for your help. I'm still having trouble finding the course code (all downloads are _install.zip), and don't have the vb code in. I'm looking at these two locations (including their subfolders), but can't see any modules with src:

On that first link you'll see the folder "source code for extensions" toward the bottom. If not, you're not logged in as customer. Please check your email you received from us when you bought the module. It mentions your username in there.

Thanks for your help Peter. I was using the wrong login (not the one I purchased the module with), so could not see the src code.

I have managed to download the source - thanks again for your support.
