I am currently experienceing a problem when attempting to soft delete a file from DMX. When I click on a file to soft delete, DMX appears to try to delete the file but it is never marked as deleted in the database. Other users have experienced this issue and they all have edit permissions on the folder that the file is located in. I checked and folders are set to unify permissions on children.

If I log in with an account that has host access, files can be soft deleted. However even with an account with administrator access soft files cannot be deleted.

DMX Version 5.3.8

Hm, it does sound like there is a permission issue. Can you verify the permissions on the individual file? Is that correct?

I took at the file permissions and they are showing the correct permissions.

Not sure if it matters or not, but the files I checked have administrators having full control over the file with a security group having only view permissions to the file.

I can't replicate it here. If you want I'll take a look if you contact me by email with some logins to verify.
