I've begun the process of getting web dav working with version 6.1.x and setting up iis according to the installation manager hasn't worked -- right clicking on a word file does NOT provide an edit option, so I'm guessing web dav ain't working.

We run a couple of version of iIS in our dev environment, on a couple of ms-server versions, and I've gotten confused over what services need to be installed on MS Server 2008, using IIS 7.0. In the documentation for IIS 6.x there's a section and a step to prohibit web dav. On my server2008/iis7 box WebDav Publishing is NOT installed as a Role service.

What webdav related roles/services do we need for win 2008?

If I can get an answer straight from the horses mouth, I'll know I'm going in the right direction.

Thanks

If the menu doesn't show "Edit in Word" then it is purely internal in DMX. You need to give that person WebDAV rights first before it will show in the menu. Make sure WebDAV is activated (Main Options) and you've given the right group WebDAV app permissions (same page).

Note: do not confuse this with Microsoft's version of WebDAV. That must be switched off on the site or it will override DMX's WebDAV.
