We are currently in the process of migrating our existing DNN - DMX setup to a different server. Currently the main folder that houses all of the DMX indexed content sits on our C:\FolderName\ClientX location. We'd like to move it on the new server to be at F:\FolderName\ClientX where the only thing that is changing is the C drive to F drive. Is there an easy was to switch all of the folders locations that are in DMX to repoint to this new location without having to redo the DMX module?

Yes. Just specify the path correctly under Storage Settings. The paths that are stored in DMX's database are relative to this path. So moving should be easy.

Thanks Peter. That will move the DMX collection path but what about the path of all the original that are being synced? In our case we have a folder structure of C:\Clients\ClientA etc where we store the originals that DMX than syncs with and stores in its default Portals/[id]/DMX. Is there an easy way to re-point the paths for those folders that we had previous set up via the DMX GUI when setting up our individual clients. Or is the only option to go back using the GUI and re-point the paths to the new F:\Clients\ClientA?

Thanks.

I guess I can just go into the Entries table and alter the path in the [OriginalFileName] field for those entries that are of [EntryType] Collection.SyncFolder

Yes, indeed. SyncFolders will need to be checked again for their correct path.
