"I cant get search or copy a catalog to work?"
I'm not sure what you're after here or what doesn't work. WebDAV exposes DMX contents to an authorized user through his/her Windows Explorer. There are no catalogs here. Just folders and files. Are you saying that copying of a folder doesn't work in WebDAV?

"is there support for "infinty deep" like in iss 7.0"
I had a look at Ifinity's page on this, but again I'm lost as to what you're asking. Ifinity provides a url solution for DNN. I'm not sure what you mean by Ifinity deep.

If you have issues with WebDAV you need to get familiar with Fiddler. I include a link to an explanation of this at the top of this forum.

Hi!

I am using a app for iphone: Webdav nav+

i get this Message from support:

A 501 error is a "not supported" or "not implemented" error. This means the server doesn't appear to support "infinite depth" queries at all.

I normally see a 403 error from all other servers which is a "not permitted" error.

That is probably why it isn't attempting to search in the current folder either.
I'll patch the app for the next release to check for the 501 as well.

IIS itself supports infinite depth queries, and works with the search feature. This limitation must be imposed by the plugin you are using.

Hope that you understandf better now.

Hi Magne,

OK, that makes things clearer. "Infinite depth" WebDAV queries are not supported, no.

I would need to research the consequences first. I can't say if it is feasible. May fear is that it is something that goes through the entire folder/file tree. And this can be something that can cause a lot of processing to happen and therefore poses a risk to larger installations. Any recursive operation needs to be examined carefully.

I'll add it to the wish list so it will be looked into.

No, I don't have more info on that. Every OS and even every version within that, generally have different implementations of WebDAV.
