Dear Forum

My OMS generates .zip files and an "upload instruction" containing all the required data to generate a new document: The file to upload, the title, the keywords, the permissions, .... all is automatically generated by our OMS.

But currently an employee has to process each "upload instruction manually" (context menu, choose 'new' > 'File(s)', upload file, set title, set keywords, set permissions, .... scroll down, click save, ... and this for 50 files monthly. It's a dummy task which takes 3hrs ...

Is there any possibilty to automate this process? We can style the "upload instrunction" in any form (csv, sql stmt, ....) to match any existing automation process.

Short: how do I upload 50 files each having a different title and different permissions/usernames?

cheerioh & happy new year!
SiS

There are ways to automate adding content to DMX, but it is beyond the scope of a thread here to go into much detail. Provided the process is running inside of DNN you can reference DXM's core dll and use the API class to access a select number of generic DMX methods.
