Download File Stopped Working

I installed version 5.0.5 and now the Download File link doesn't work anymore.  When I use Internet Explorer and I click on "Download File" from the context menu, the folders are simply refreshed, and I am looking at the root directory of the module.  The link works correctly in Firefox, however, so I don't know what is wrong.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I discovered additional information.  This problem occurs on an instance of the DMX module that has a different Root directory specified.  In IE 7.0, I can download a file, IF the DMX instance uses the Root folder as its starting folder.  If I use a different folder as the starting folder, then I can not download the file.

But in firefox, both cases let me download the file.

I finally determined that the root cause of this problem is the Forums module which appears on the same page as Document Exchange. The Forums module changes the URL of the page, and apparently makes the reference to the file that DMX computes invalid. If I remove the Forums module from the page, then I can download the file. Has anyone run into this issue before?

I think the only reason Firefox works is because the forums module's ability to change to a specific forum doesn't work in Firefox.

Glad you found the issue. Just as a general note: try to keep DMX to itself on a page. Or more generally even: try to not mix multiple 'complex' modules on a single page. I leave to your discretion what is complex and what not. But what I'm thinking of here are modules that use the querystring and/or Ajax to control large amounts of data. A single page hit has a single set of querystring parameters. And module vendors can't ensure that their parameters won't clash with others. There is a similar mechanism in Ajax which can also lead to conflicts.
