I get this error when trying to open any document. I copied my dnn version back from production. Could this have caused the error?

Hi Brent,

I couldn't say. I'd need more details. Where does the error occur (i.e. how does it manifest itself) and when (i.e. what sequence of events)? Do you see anything in the event log?

I uninstalled and reinstalled to fix it.

However, I keep getting the "file does not begin with %pdf-" error. Is there a work around it only happens on certain PDFs.

Hi Brent,

This is a known issue and happens on successive double clicks on PDF files (not on the first double click). IE/Windows makes a partial download request and sends it to Acrobat which then fails. This issue will be addressed in 5.2.

Hi Peter,

Do you have a release date for 5.2?

Hi Brent,

More testing needs to be done and due to OpenForces this has not been possible. I did not want to rush a release between OpenForce EU and US, so I've held off until after. If you'd like to try the new version, send me an email and I'll send a link to it.
