When i right click on a word document in my DMX folder and select the Open in Word, it does nothing . Is there a setting that I should enable for this to work.

Also when I click on the Mail ME, I get a message saying
"There is a problem with the configuration of your SMTP Server. Mail was not sent."

How do I configure this

Thanks,

1. Check the WebDAV help file on the Admin menu. It describes how to tweak settings for IE.

2. This error is produced by DNN. Check the SMTP settings under Host Settings of your DNN.

Peter,

I had a look at the WebDav helpfile, I have all the ActiveX enabled. When I do a Open in Word on my document, it does open Microsoft Word, but doesn't load any document in it.

for the first one When I right click the doc and open it
MS word does open but the document isn't loaded and on the right side of my IE browser I see an error symbol , which when I click I see this message

Message: This file could not be found.

This type of thing is best debugged using Fiddler. You'll see immediately if some requested files are not served by the server. The error indicates a problem there. So that is your first stop.
