I am now upgrading templates from DMX 5 to DMX 6 and I can't find a way to select different formatting for alternate items in the list of entries.

In the previous DMX version there used to be two separate files for entry items - ItemTemplate.resources and AlternateItemTemplate.resources (and similarly for log and version items). I used to have both templates looking the same except for the CSS class which way I could specify different formatting (in my case the background color) for the alternating item.

However, in DMX 6, only the Entry.html subtemplate is used for displaying entry items and therefore I cannot use two different CSS classes for alternating items.

Can you please guide me to set up the templates as in DMX 5?
Thanks a lot.

It takes a bit more fiddling but the way to go nowadays is CSS3 and/or jQuery. jQuery is loaded by default. You can add bits of JS to a template. I will make a note to add the line coloring to the default template as an example in the next update.

Thank you for pointing me to this direction, Peter. An example in the next update will be nice.
