We would like to present the user with a really simple interface for adding files.

I notice that there is an option in the control panel to 'Show Intermediate Finish in Edit'.

Is there a way, either through templating or modification of code to skip the second step where a user sets the metadata/permissions?

Instead, we would want to just use the defaults and redirect back to the folder view (the default 'landing' page for the module).

There isn't. You wouldn't be able to create folders either as they depend on that screen. Have you contemplated using the LetterBox addon? It will need to sit on another page, but it does what you want. You select a file and click 'go' ... that's it. The admin decides which folder it will go to.

Many thanks for your response. I have had a look at the letterbox, and because we need something quite bespoke (that is, create folders if they don't exist, based on DNN tokens) - it's not quite what we need. Although, as the source is available we can modify it to do this.

At present, I think we may stick with the two stage process of adding files. We are able to hide any fields that aren't relevant to our particular users - so we can keep it simple that way.

Thanks again for your prompt responses.
