    Hi Peter,

i'd like to add custom attributes but they should be defined different regarding the collection. i.e. the collection project has other attributes like tools.

Is there any way to implement this ? What about the 'Applies To' setting ?!?

    Thx

    Holger

Yes, that is the way. But you have to create the different collection types first, i.e. Collection.Project, etc.

Note that this is a hierarchical model and that an att specified for 'Collection' will also show up on 'Collection.Project' type.

Another note: you own additions to the types appear as 'Custom.Collection.Project' for instance. This also makes it appear in the dropdown when creating them.

Final note: The description is stored in the SharedResources.ascx.resx

i do the following settings, but if i add a new collection i can't select it. the drop-down box is not enabled and 'Normal Collection' is selected....

    Resource File: DesktopModules/Bring2mind/DMX/App_LocalResources/SharedResources
    Base type: Collection
    Specific Type: Project
    Default Action: Download
    Control: DesktopModules/Bring2mind/DMX/ViewCollection.ascx

    all other settings are blank.

    What did i wrong ?

Did you try clearing the cache? You should be able to do that through the button under options > service, or also by plain recycling the worker process.
