    Hi Ulrich,

While inherirted page permissions affect who can see the module, you must also set permissions on the DMX folders (collections). This allows you to have many different security roles access the same page/module, but only see content they have permission to.

    Hi Rob

I understand. But new uploaded Files in DMX Root, (not in any Collection), inhirit Permissions that are set in Module correct, but when the Module Permissions are inhirited from (Parent) the Page, they are not inhirited to the new uploaded File.

    Hi Ulrich,

I think I understand what you are describing, so my recommendation is, create collections in the root, set permissions on the collections, upload files into the collections, not the root. Uploads will then inherit permissions of the collection they are in. If you need to modify permissions on a collection, you must then check the box ("reset permissions on all subfolders" - it says something like that), then hit apply/update.

    Hi Ulrich,
The inheritance of permissions from the module's permission is not meant to be used 'for real' like you want. It is only copied upon creation of the first items. The intention is that you keep the root only for administrative purposes. Please start by creating some collections with the permissions set as you want and use those in the 'public' DMX instances.
