Hi I read through the UI forums for how to best add custom attributes in the ColumnList.Text field in for example the ViewCollection.ascx.resx resource. I am finding contradicting statements. The Administrator's Manual says that the "Name/Identifier" (i.e. first) column can be "One of the names of custom attributes" but in some posts I read that this cannot be done since it is not a column of the DMX_Entries table. The message I am getting is: A critical error has occurred. A field or property with the name 'Translate' was not found on the selected data source. And although this a clear message I just want to know if it can be done somehow without the need to modify the source. Marc (DNN 4.4.1, DMX 03.04.08)

Marc, In the old days there was a very elaborate procedure to get them in the table that is bound to the file listing. For performance reasons this was later changed. If you want to implement custom attributes you should also have a look at the DMX_GetCollectionContents SPROC. That is the method that is used to retrieve the file list. Peter
