links in documents

    our current dms has documents that link (link is located in document) to other documents in dms.

    How can I do this with Document exchange.

    Documents carry a fixed ID. If you look at the details of a document you will see that the url contains this id. Urls to documents are, therefore, easy to copy and paste to other places and will remain intact as long as the module stays on the page.

    I noticed each record has it's own ID, but how do we get the latest revision, since each revision has its own ID whcih is unique from the prior version?

    It all hinges on LastVersionId. This column holds a reference to the last version. If a new version must be created, the record is first copied to the end (creating a new EntryId but leaving the LastVersionId), then the old record is changed.
