I have installed DMX 04.00.03 and I am having the following problem.

The default text does not appear to have the {{ and }} around the valueof fields e.g.

Dear valueof(notification/addressee/displayname),

You have opted to subscribe to a document entitled 'valueof(notification/entry/title)'. You will receive an email when changes are made to this document. To see the document please navigate to:

http://valueof(notificati...ation/entry/entryid)

Kind regards,

valueof(notification/administrator/displayname)

valueof(notification/portal/description)

If I amend this and save changes, the page refresh appears to have saved my changes but if I choose another notification and go back or I exit and go back into the notification, the changes have not been saved and I get the above text again.

Is this a bug or access rights issue? Is there anything I am doing wrong?

As it stands, I cannot send out notifications because they just show at the above text.

I am using DNN 4.5.5

Regards

I'll look into this. Changes should be visible in the NotificationTemplates under ~/portals/0/DMX/NotificationTemplates/ ... Do you see the changes in those?

Hi Peter,

I have looked. The changes are not in the templates within that folder. It looks like the changes are not being saved.

OK, thanks for checking that. Can you verify the permissions are correct for this folder? I.e. that DNN can write to it...

As far as I can tell, the permissions for 'NETWORK SERVICE' are the same as every other folder on the site.
Full control is not ticked but modify, read etc.. are ticked. The module did not have any issues installing.

Should I just manually edit the xml/xsl files manually?

Mike,

The manual edit probably won't change much as the final result is the xsl file and that should be correct or you'll see this weird email. Let me run a few tests and if this is a DMX bug it will be fixed over the coming week.

I've identified the error and solved it. The next update will fix this. You'll have to start from scratch with your edits again. To do this, erase all files under portals/[n]/DMX/NotificationTemplates. The default ones will be copied in place. I've also noticed the error has crept into the distribution of the templates, aarg. I'll need to solve the existing templates in the current installations as well.

This depends on how testing goes and any other bug appearences. If all goes well it should be available next week.

Hi Peter,

I have just installed Version 4.00.04. I can now confirm that the notification texts are working although I did have to go in and resave them.
