I am having the following weird issues with DMX 4.  I am running DMX 4.0.6 on DNN 4.5.5 with IIS 6.0 and using IE 6.

I have one DNN instance with multiple child portals.  One of the child portas using DMX has a unique DNS.  In this portal I am able to upload new documents and open folder in Windows explorere, but Open in word, Excel etc launches the respective window, but does not open the document.

The other child portals have URLs similar to http://myparentportal.com/childportal.  I cannot upload new files or links to any of these portals as administrators or any other user.  When I upload the file and click Next, it uploads the file but then right away I get the following error message on my screen and my session is terminated.

A critical error has occurred
The command 'MoveNext' is not valid for the previous step, make sure the step type is not changed between postbacks.

As soon as I select Folder -> new Item and hyperlink from the drop down I get the following error and my session is terminated.

"You have completed this edit. Please close this dialog to continue. "

Ofcourse none of the Dev Wab functions work.

Sometimes the page does not load completely and I can see messages like "12 items remaining" and the styles for DMX look all goffed up.  When I refresh my browser my session is terminated.

Can you please help ASAP as we are unable to upload new content to the child portals.

Thanks,

Chhavi

For some users the files do launch in Word or Excel, but in read-only mode and when they save it a new file with the same name is created in that folder.

Clicking on "Open in Windows Explorer" brings up a window with the following error "

"Documents in this folder are not available.  The folder may have been moved or deleted, or network problems may be preventing a connection to the server".

Hi Chhavi,
I've just been working on this one today. Expect this to be fixed soon. In v 04.00.06 child portals are still a problem.
