I have two problems with the notification mail:

* The 'mail-merge' fields in the notification mails still don't seem to work in DMX 4.00.06. See example below.

* I made a dutch translation of every notification mail but this version isn't used. The locale in the user profile  of my test user is set to dutch. The xml and xsl files of the translation were created in the template folder.

Cheers,

Jan Alwin

Dear valueof(notification/addressee/displayname),

There has been a change in a document entitled 'valueof(notification/entry/title)' you have subscribed to. valueof(notification/user/displayname) has valueof(notification/logtype/phrase) this at valueof(notification/time) on valueof(notification/date). To see the document please navigate to:

http://valueof(notificati...ation/entry/entryid)

Kind regards,

valueof(notification/administrator/displayname)

valueof(notification/portal/description)

Jan Alwin,

Can you do the following for me: delete all files under 'Portals/[yourPortalId]/NotificationTemplates'? Then restart DNN/DMX. It could be that the old ones were still there and the files were not correct. I've checked here and it should work. The XML file will show the template as you see it in the editor HTML and XML encoded. The XSL file should show it compiled using the proper xsl:valueof select="" notation.

Hi Peter,

I removed the templates from the portal as you said and restarted the application.

It didn't work at first. The tokens weren't converted in the xsl file.

But when I changed something in the template and saved it, it did work. The right tags are now in de xsl file.

I investigated a bit further. The default templates in desktopmodules/bring2mind/dmx/resources/defaultnotificationtemplates aren't correct.  See below.

Something must have gone wrong with the update to 4.00.06.

I will resave all the templates when I make the dutch versions. That will solve the problem.

Thanks,

Jan Alwin

Hi Jan Alwin,
Thanks. You'd better send it by email as the forums mangle XML/HTML.

Hi Peter,

I updated all the templates today, and now everything seems to go ok.

I made dutch versions of all the templates but these still aren't used some how.

The log-entries are localized but the mail text istn't. See below:

Jan Alwin,
Can you tell me the names of the files in the templates directory?
