    Hi,

I am facing a problem with the subscriptions. When I subscribe to a folder, it gets added to my Subscriptions. But I dont recieve a notification when there is any modification to the folder.  I am not sure if there is any setting that needs to changed,

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi,
Do you receive any other notifications? Does your email server handle relays?

    Hi,
It looks like an email issue more than a 'subscribe to folder' issue then. The email that goes out is sent via DNN (so make sure the SMTP settings are working). The sender is the person doing the edit (this is likely to change in a future version). The latter means your email server must not be shy when it comes to relaying the email (i.e. from the 'editor' to the 'subscriber').

    Hi Peter,

I checked my SMTP settings and set it right. Now  I am able to test my SMTP server and recieve a mail too from the site.

But still I am not able to get the notification for subscriptions.

    Am I missing something?

Do you get a notification when the person doing the edit is the same as the person whose email address you use for SMTP settings (usually the portal admin)?

Then I can't understand why it won't send the email. Like I said before it uses the regular DNN methods for this. Nothing fancy. What version of DNN are you using BTW?
