Is there a way to move a file from one folder to another through the UI and without using WebDav?

Ok, I've discovered the clipboard but that hasn't been working out very well at all.

I must say I'm very much not impressed with this product given all the money I spent.

You add stuff to the clipboard. Then at a particular location, on the folder menu you'll find the ability to paste of move the content there.

Most people are used to chose first whether to copy (= duplicate) or cut (=move) a file, then go the destination folder and drop it. For example in Windows File Explorer, I either copy (Ctrl+C) or cut (Ctrl+X) a file, then drop it elswhere (Ctrl+v).
DMX does it the other way round: you first copy the file ("Add to clipbaord"), go to the destination folder, there you decide whether you drop only a copy ("Clipboard > Copy Clipboard to here") or whether you drop the original ("Clipboard > Move Clipboard to here").
That's a different logic and therefore not intuitive. Also I don't think it is necessary to put these two options on third level of the context menue

Drag and drop would be a preferred interface - like how Windows does it, inc. ctrl/shift options.

I completely agree. Drag n drop is the way to go. It is under research and will most likely be implemented. It is too early to say when.

Peter,

It would be great if the navigation on the left side gave the same right click options on items as when they are in the main pane. It gets confusing sometimes.
