    Peter,

I am getting more and more requests for advice on DMX.  The latest is from our HR dept they are required to send a copy of our policies and procedures to a governing body.  We run DMX on our intranet which is not accessible from outside.  So they would like a CD copy of all Policies and Procedures.  We have 2 categories named as such

What I need to know is if there is a way of downloading multiple documents (at once) from these categories or do they need to download individually.

    Assistance is appreciated
    Thanks

We have a similar request (also from HR) where they have a group of docs (a folder in DMX) called "New Hire Package". In this folder, they post all the forms and docs necessary to process a new hire. They have asked if there's a way to download all of them with one click. I told them the solution would be to combine all of these into one doc (say, an Excel file with multiple sheets.)

For now it is single download at a time. I plan to include bulk download in the near future. You can already get a taste for that with the MailDoc addon. This addon is bluk capable (it zips up multiple selected documents and sends it to a particular email address).

    Peter,

I there an ETA for this added feature? I'm using this at work and it's a pretty hot item.

i second the question on multiple downloads. this feature would make this a module of near perfection for me on one of our portals. mass uploads as well would be grand.

I hear you ... The challenge right now is on making this intuitive in the UI of DMX 4.

How about utilizing the checkboxes that are already there to define your array of documents, and then add a "Download Selected" button.

Another nice thing would be a progress bar. We do a lot of big files.

Naturally. But the checkboxes are being phased out ... Most likely you'll see a file grid where you can select files and then use a menu to select download.
