    Hi Pete.

Any chance of getting a Default Sort setting against a collection or instance?  Even if only for the default set of columns (rather than having to be able to sort any extra columns that may be added as an extension or similar).

That or adding a querystring parameter which effects the sort so we can load the page in this state from a hyperlink or menu option?

    Cheers,
    A

    Hi Andrew,

Good one. It would have to be programmed in. I'll note this in the (now growing) feature wish list. Maybe I'll go in the direction of what I've done now for 'WhatsNew' addon. There I have the following parameters: Filter, Sort Expression, and Control To Load. The latter is the ascx to use to display. If you just keep the same controls in that and inherit from the same page, you can change whatever you like in the layout (including columns). This would allow an even greater degree of freedom than my current solution using the ColumnList string.

    Hi,

I would also find it really usefull if I could set a default sort order, even if it is just a top level one.

I would rather sort by date added and have the most recent file first rather than by document title.

Hope this does get included as this is a really great module that is the second most used module in our whole Intranet site.

    Best wishes
