I have zip file containing a structure of files and folders; eg,

Report.zip
abc_file
cde_file
Appendix_Folder
App1_Folder
app1_efg_file
app1_hij_file
App2_Folder
app2_klm_fil

When I upload and unzip the file, I eventually get "A critical error has occurred. The request was aborted: The connection was closed unexpectedly.".

When checking afterwards, the zip file itself is stored and the following part of the tree structure:

Appendix_Folder
App1_Folder
app1_efg_file

Is this error occurring because I am using DMX inappropriately or is it a setting problem.

Any advice will be appreciated

Errors during unzip can happen when the zip itself is somehow corrupted. Download the zip from DMX and check if it unzips on your local machine. Are there any special circumstances like empty folders or files without any length?

Peter,

1. When I download the file to my PC and unzip it, everything is fine. I do not think the file is corrupted.

2. I uploaded the zip file to another site that I have, and it unzipped without error message. The unzipping included creating the whole folder path for each "end" folder, thereby a lot of repetition. Not pretty, but one can live with it and edit after the uploading.

3) The difference between the two sites is that DMX is set up with S3 storage in the site producing error message. The other DMX is having its storage locally with the hosting company.

Therefore, I will suggest that there is something with the S3 connection that produces the error message.

MJ,

The unzipping happens locally on disk, not directly in S3. But I'll try to replicate your finding.

Can you first confirm the DMX version you're using is the latest? I.e. 6.1.3? Changes were made to the S3 provider in recent versions.

I confirm that I am on DMX version 6.1.3, both sites.

I'll try to replicate with that version.
