Peter,

I am wondering if it is possible to apply custom attributes to certain edit screens only. I know I can apply the attributes per type, file, link, etc, but I don't know if I can do it based on which edit screen is being used.

My guess is that I can't do it based on the edit screen, which leads me to my second question. Can I create a custom edit screen and tell it which attributes to use (my guess is the answer is, yes, but is it easy?)

Thanks,
Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Indeed you can't per edit screen unless you intervene with a custom edit screen in which case you can do anything you want of course. It is not rocket science, but you'll need to have the partial source. That way you have the existing edit screen as the example to work from. Then you can add your custom bits to capture what you want.

Thanks Peter,
I have the partial source so this seems doable. I have done some customizing of the edit of the screen before but not to remove the attribute fields, but if you say it is doable than I will make it happen. Might have an older version of the source, so I will probably need a newer version, maybe... Heads up, you might be getting an email about that ;)

Thanks!
Stuart
