We recently upgraded an installation to DMX v6.1.5 and have found that items added after the upgrade result in File Not Found errors.

If I run the "Analyze Files" script, notice the results that include these newest files:

00:00:03.478 - Analyzing A000380-WS Magnum EX.pdf (Path 0;30;227;229;)
00:00:03.478 - Checking file_20130503_161602_Jgo_0.resources Success

00:00:03.541 - Error: Could not find file 'c:\file_20130715_141220_XsInH_0.resources'.

Is this a verified bug or is there something obtuse and unique about our installation?

Hmmm, 48 views and nobody chimes in. I guess this points toward something odd about this install...

The DMX storage settings had subdirectories set to "none." Changing the setting to "yearly" resolved the issue. It looks like essentially having documents stored at the root level (of DMX) exposes the bug.

Hi Eric,

Indeed. It is rare to have it set to "none" so not many will have encountered your issue. I'll see about getting that fixed.

NB note that having *all* files stored in the same directory can lead Windows to slow down when you're browsing on the server. At one point Windows begins to struggle with a large volume of files. This is why I decided a couple of years ago that the best way was to "chunk" it by month.
