problem registering DMX 7493 7

I purchased DMX 4 through snowcovered and I'm trying to register through the Web Service but it seems like my license can not be found.&160; I'm installing on DNN 4.9.&160; I've entered my user account and invoice number.&160; When I register through the web service, I get a reply of Service date could not be parsed.&160; HELP!&160; Thx&160; BT

Hi Peter,
On DNN v4.9.0, I attempted an upgrade from DMX v3.5.5 to v5.0.1 and got the following error(s) when the 04.00.00 sql script attempted to run. Should I worry It was on a test server, with next step being the live site after hearing back from you.

Safe to upgrade to DNN 5.0? 4175 3

Are there any compatibility issues between the new 5.0 release of DNN and DMX 5.0.1 I assume that I can safely upgrade my site to DNN 4.9.1 (currently running 4.8.2) and have no problems with DMX 5.0.1, but I am seeing a number of issues being reported with DNN 5.0 in the DNN forums

I noticed from the documentation that multiple activations from the same server will not reduce the activation count.&160; Presumably the license manager associates information about the activation with the server ID.&160; Does the server ID contain any identifying information that could be gained from someone possessing the ID&160; Or is it a one-way hash of some sort that does not reveal any information other than the uniqueness of the server&160; Thanks.

We are currently evaluating your product and we have a couple of questions:
&160;
1) Are thumbnails required&160; We haven't been able to figure out how to upload a file without assigning a thumbnail image.
2) We would like to provide the ability for a user to download or upload files based on the User Role that is assigned to them.&160; It seems that this is possible for downloading files but we have not been able to figure this out for uploading files.

Tried your 4.x product a few months ago on our languishing site. Found it didn't have much notification upon file uploads (via email), and uninstalled to try another product, which could work, but now see that you've made some HUGE changes, and would like to revisit it...
Except I have an expired trial license from the previous install....

Hello,
I'm trying to install to language pack (Fr-be & Nl-be) for version 5.00.01.
I found the language packs by clicking the language menu in the Admin menu

I upgraded a portal from DMX 3 to 4 and then to five. It works file except when I click on download file it seems to work but I am never prompted to download the file. I tested this on both 4 and 5 and I have the same issues. &160;When I set up Dmx 5 without an upgrade it worked fine and files download. &160;Any ideas

I am looking for an application that I can upload multiple audio and video files simultaneously (your webDAV implementation would be great), can I configure DMX to do this and remove all indications of use as a document management system and use it for this
I would want each user to have access to their own private folder.

Have just set-up a test sites as we are moving from dnn 4.8.4 (now at 4.9) and I have upgraded DMX from 3.5.6 to 4.3.2. The upgrade went fine, no errors, however the modules fail to load now. Is that a license issue or another issue

Drop Down menus are transparent unreadable 4136 6

Just installed DMX5 on our dev server no errors reported and all seems to be fine but all of the drop down menus are transparent is I can see your menu option and anything on the page behind it so it is very difficult to see what you are selecting. It also happens in the module settings options for DMX the drop down options are all transparent backgrounds. Is this a CSS issue.
Please help its making me dizzy....

without hitting anything on the module, the page displays:
&160;Access is Denied message and
Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus.
I've never seen these before.&160; I'm using dnn 4.9, DMX5.0 and IE7.&160; Things seem to be working okay, but these could cause problems with other things.&160; I'm not seeing these error messages on other pages.

We just ran the upgrade process and there were no errors reported. The process ran clean, but when we go to the DMX instance on our portal, there are no folder names or document names shown.&160; There are icons for the various files and folders, just no names.&160; Need some help!

Hi Peter.
With version 4.03.02 you may remember I couldnt run with full trust which causes the rad uploader to fail. You get error messages.
The solution is to remove the lines from the web.config which switches back to the non ajax uploader. This worked fine with v4
However with v5.0 it still complains about the rad uploader even when the lines are removed.
I have also tried the new web.config tuner to deactivate rad to see if it removes anything different to what i was doing manually, and ...

I also tried to change maxRequestLength but it had no effect
I use DNN 04.09.00 with sqlexpress.

Add Item... Button In New Template View 3988 3

Hi, I just installed the sweet new v5.0 and love the new template view.&160; However, non-admins seem to lose the 'Add Item...' button at the top, even if they have add permissions to the folder.
Might this be a bug, or do I have to do something extra to get adding capability back to those users
I'm running DNN version 4.9, if it makes any difference.

we are runing a Portal with thousands of users and file with an 'older' DNN Version (3.x) now we are planning to Update to the actula DNN Verison. In the portal we are using you DMX Module Version 3 (.Net 1.1). With the update we would also like to use the new Version 5 of DMX can this be Updated directly or do we have to make seveal stepps over the DMX Thank you for your help.
