index server catalog 3214 1

When trying to add an index server catalog I get the following error:
Sql Server could not attach to the named Indexing Service catalog (Msg: User does not have permission to perform this action.)
I've checked that the catalog name is correct, the DNN install is on the same server as Index server, though the db is not. What do I need to do to correct this

I'm trying to setup a share on our file server for DMX to store files to. Having issues trying to figure out what the correct permissions to the folder should be so that DMX can write but not just anyone.

We seem ot have run into a limit to how many categories a document may belong to, it seems to be 75 Is this limitation resolvable Can I assign more than 75 categories

Hi Peter,
I did some testing with your latest DMX module on the new DNN 4.3 release, just to see if anything immediately broke.
DMX was already installed, and for this test I used the DNN 4.3 upgrade, rather than the full install zip. The only thing that is a problem so far is on the Options page. At the bottom it shows the following:

Hi all...
I've attempted to install DMX 3.01.51 on DNN 4.0 (of course running on sql server 2005 express).
So far. Activation is successful, but when I attempt to add a new folder or new item, I get an errormessage telling me that a stored procedure is missing:
when 'New Folder' is clicked:
A critical error has occurred.
The stored procedure 'dbo.DMX_GetEntryAttributeList' doesn't exist.

Can someone help me out of this fog I seem to have gotten myself into I can't seem to get or understand how the approval process works. I have setup a site with a role called approver and assigned this to a user, this approver role is the role set as, approver. I had admin upload a document and it appears on teh site as approved, shouldn't it be unapproved until the approver user approves it

Not sure if I am posting this in the correct forum, but we have suddenly encountered a problem with a previously working document module. We are getting an error message -
A critical error has occurred.Access to the path 'D:\domains\Portals_Net2\DNN4x1\Portals\0\DMX\file_20060602_101134_XomYh_0.resources' is denied.
Permissions on the folder look fine. Not aware that anything has changed in the environment. Any ideas

I have a test PC (I use to test all upgrades new modules) and production PC . They are both running DMX version 3.02.01. I have not installed the last upgrade between 3.02.01 to 3.04.03. I Have a couple of questions...
Can I upgrade directly to 3.04.03 from 3.02.01
I need to install on test PC first and then production PC. Will there be a problem with licence if I use same upgrade on both PC's

Hello,
I have been using DNN4 for a while now, but I realized that I need a good repository for my documents. So I decided to go back to DNN3 and install DMX 3 Pro.
I have had a license for this product installed on an old machine, which is now junked. My website is now running on a virtual server (vmware), and I have installed DNN3.2.2 and DMX3.4 on to this. The Account Details shows that my license is in order.
As a SuperUser I can create folders and upload documents, but as ...

Hi Peter,
I just installed the 3.3.1 version of your DMX on my site, and the activation instructions tell me to go to the 'license screen' to enter my email address and activation code.
Unfortunately, I cannot find this option. The module says: 'There appears to be a licensing issue. Please contact your hosting provider. '
I've looked in the Module's Options and don't see the license screen, nor do I see it in the settings of the module.

I've just purchased and installed DMX 03.03.01. It's always said my license is on order even though I've never activated it and put the key into the web.config file There is no option to generate a key on the license page just a cancel button.
Is this right Surely I should have an option to generate the key

I recently purchased the 3.03.01 version of DMX. After reading the documentation, and seeing that the Categories page has been improved, I went to the 'Patches & Hotfixes' section of snowcovered looking for an update. The only update available also said 3.03.01.
So, which revision of the software has the new Categories page
