Portal Setup RSS DMX on multiple pages 3272 2

We are in the midst of setting up DMX for our intranet portal and loading about 2-3k documents in it.&160; In organizing our DNN portal, I have a plan for setting things up and I'm wondering if it's even feasible.
We have one page called DMX which is the DMX install, allowing certain people in each dept access to specific department folders based on their AD permissions.&160; If anyone wants to search for a document, they can either type in the filename into the search bar in the home page, o...

when I add a new item, the checkboxes on the permission tab are disabled, so I can't modify them . I am lodeg in as the Portal Admin user.

I would like to be able to use an offline tool to write blog posts, save these as PDF's and upload them to DMX during a single click PUBLISH. At the same time the blog is published.
I've been using Windows LiveWriter with the DNN blog which works well. However, I cannot save as PDF and upload at the same time.
Has anyone had a similar problem and or have any ideas how I might solve this

I've enabled RSS and Allow Syndicate and when I hit the rss button, I'm getting this address:
http://portal02/DesktopModules/Bring2mind/DMX/DmxRss.aspxPortalId=0&TabId=59&ModuleId=379
this is an internal address.&160; The problem is, IE says it's cannot display the feed.&160; My outlook RSS reader can't either.
I&160;noticed that if I&160;take everything from the to the right OFF, I am shown a valid RSS&160;feed.&160; Anyone know what's going on or what I&160;might be doing ...

I'm trying to figure out why people are allowed to subscribe to folders.
I&160;was hoping it was that if I uploaded a new doc to that folder, they'd get a notification.&160; That doesn't seem to be working, or maybe I'm not doing something right.&160; They can't subscribe to categories, so that kind of kills it too.

I&160;was having problems with the subscriptions not sending emails for a while there.&160; Before I bothered you, I installed the newest version, I believe it's 5.1.3.
I installed it about 15 min ago, and updated another doc, and lo and behold I got an email saying that I had 4 docs that had been updated.&160; Did the new version fix something, or did I&160;inadvertently fix it

The notifications look exactly the same...A bit puzzled here.

If I click the option Show Direct Link&160;DMX shows&160;an incomplete URL like:

The domainpart of the URL is not shown.
I checked all the settings and they seem to be correct.
Does anybody know what can be wrong

One of the major benfits of DMX 5 were surley the templating features. I am able to create an UI which runs AJAX and Javascript- free, controlled only by querystrings.
Unfortunately you can't edit/add entries without JS, as the Cancel, Update, Prev and Next buttons, which even look like buttons, are infact styled link buttons, which require Javascript for Postback.
Peter, please turn them into real buttons! A small change for you, but a big step for the module.

1. I have created a custom attribute called Last Updates (date type). I am showing this in a template using &91entryattribute:Last Updated&93. The date always shows in this format:

Hi Peter,
I know, I know, you just introduced the recycle bin so how could there be a feature request already
I am very pleased you've added this, as it has long been needed. The feature that seems to be missing is the ability to empty the recycle bin (Hard Delete all content). Currently, it appears that each item must be individually selected to execute a Hard Delete.

When adding/editing File Types, it does not seem possible to set the Control to {defaultview} (as all the default types are set to). The dropdown only has a list of ASCX files in it. The workaround is to directly edit the DMX_Extensions table and set it there.

I have a customer who is currently running a DNN Repository based system. This was originally intended to be quite small, but has now expanded to over 4000 files and the repository module is inadequate to manage this. So we are looking at putting in DMX and so far it seems ideal - addresses all the shortfalls they are currently experiencing.

I tried to find an example of this, but havn't been successful.

We have some columns display only on the DetailView.&160; entry:isfile works great for handling the column on the itemview template, but I&160;havn't been able to remove the column header in the PageTemplate.&160; From the documentation, &91query:viewtype&93 appears to be the command to use, but I can't figure out how to query the claue of viewtype so I&160;can change CSS is it's DetailsView.

I require a view of my dmx data that shows a list of the filenames and the value of their attributes.&160; I&160;have reviewed the document on customizing templates, spent considerable time testing it but cannot get the results I am looking for; I cant get a list of attributes besides the files.
Related to the above, I'd also need to create different templated views of the data, on different pages for different user groups. Modifying the template seems to modify all instances of templateview...

I have not yet been able to display the DMX module on a computer with a french OS.&160; Everything is perfect on computer with an english OS.&160; I&160;have DMX version 5.01.03. 95 of our customers use french computers, has anyone else succeded in usein document exchange on a french computer&160; Is there a soliution to this issue or am i just missing something.&160; I have also installed the fr-ca language pack for the module, but unfortunatley still have the same issue.

We have about 7000 users and are currently creating a new portal that utilized AD to log people in, etc.
We have about 1000 different documents that we'll need to bring into DMX from various documentation modules in our old portal. &160;A lot of these docs need to be updated on a monthly, if not every two weeks, and we'd like to have these people get the updates. &160;A lot of them, if not all, are in one security group in AD.

I show all documents to end users through a custom template view, either by category or by folder. Up until now my custom template view has been a stripped down version of TemplateView.ascx that shows only a list of hyperlinks and no buttons at all.
