Recursive collection creation when we add a folder in the tree 3235 1

We've found&160;the following problem while&160;using&160;DMX 05.01.02.
The environment is the following:
DMX begins to run slowly while the user is navigating the tree. Loading a branch takes more than 30 seconds. Looking for the reason, we've found many entries (collection entrytype) in the database&160;with the same name and all these entries are created each one inside the other.
The entries log in the database&160;shows all these entries we're added at the same time. And i suppose D...

Error - Admin>Web.config 3152 1

Whenever&160;I click the link admin>web.config I receive&160;the following error message:
A critical error has occurred.
Value was either too large or too small for an Int32.
DMX sems to run correctly - I am concerned that this error is symptomatic of something esle wrong with my DNN installation, and not just DMX. Can anyone shed any light on this error.

Error Deleting Documents 3594 1

Hi -
I'm having a problem deleting documents from DMX.&160; Here's what happens.
If I'm logged in as a non-administrator, I have a 'Delete' item in the right mouse window.&160; But when I click 'Delete' I get a browser error message stating 'The data could not be loaded.' and the document does not delete.
If I login as administrator, the same behavior occurs when I click the Delete menu item.&160; However, if I click Hard Delete the document is deleted.

I'm running DMX 5.1.0 on a DNN 4.8 install. I'm finding odd behavior on the main menu options (Folder, Search, Help). You must click an item (such as 'Folder') to get that menu item to open, but then if you don't select an option from the menu, it stays open.&160; Clicking 'Folder' again won't close the menu as you might expect it to. Is there a way to change this behavior&160;

I'm getting the first error below&160;when adding new files or folders to DMX.&160; I think this may have something to do with the context menu problem I posted about on 5/27/09 under the heading 'General Exception'.

Hi, I have a document with 5 versions. They are all shown in the Details, but the Dates on all of them except the current version are wrong. In fact the older versions show newer dates than the current one. It looks something like this:

Hi Peter.&160; Please forgive me if this has already been covered in your documentation.&160; If so, could you kindly point me in the right direction
Regarding the Win32FileAttributes, would I enter a value (i.e., 1, 2,&160;4, etc.) or a name (i.e., Readonly, Hidden, System, etc.), and if multiple, what would be used as a separator&160; Also, do you have&160;a list that outlines what we can enter for these Win32FileAttributes&160;

On the main screen of DMX, you've got the tree view with the folders and categories as the left panel, you've got the folder list as the top right panel, and then the item/file details as the bottom right panel.&160;
How can I resize the default of the size of these panels, e.g. I want to space the treeview panel wider and decrease the size of the details panel.&160;

I'm attempting to upload a 5MB PDF file to DMX.&160; I can FTP the file in 2 minutes 23 seconds.
When I use the TelerikUpload, it moves only 270 bytes per second and eventually times out.&160; When I use the CAUpload, it shows 0 progress and then says 'Upload Error: Too Many Files.'&160; I have better luck with the AspnetUpload.&160; It takes just under 3 minutes.
Any ideas&160; How should I start to debug this

Cannot re-order global attributes after update 3144 9

Hey Peter,
We recently updated our (trial) version of DMX 5, and it appears that I cannot reorder the global attributes.&160; When I am in the 'edit global attributes' page, I can reorder the attributes by using the up/down arrow buttons.&160; But when I actually upload a new file or edit an existing file, the global attributes show up in the order which I added them.

I haven't tried this with local attributes, I will do that now and update my thread.

I have setup&160;document exchange on our website to use folders, and the need has arisen for me to upload a few files that&160;belong to all the folders.
Is it possible for example, to have a file in 'folder 1' and a 'shortcut' to the original file placed in 'folder 2'

When I am a non-administrative user, I see a red message saying 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' in the lower-left corner of the screen when adding an item (file) to a folder.
I right-click on the folder and select 'New Item ...'
I leave 'File' selected and click 'Select'
I browse to and select the file to upload (have gotten the problem with a .pdf, a .gif and a .jpg)
I click 'Next'
I click 'Finish' and see:

I am experincing multiple email notifications for a single event. This is happening to multiple users and seems to be a random occurence.
I have been getting many complaints from users saying that they are receiving multiple copies of the same email when a new file(s) are uploaded to a site. Someties they receive 2, 3, and even 5 copies of the same email.

Getting pagination to work 3189 1

I'm using a custom template with the templateview.ascx to create my own listview. It's working great and I also have some custom attributes that show up.
Now I'm want to add some pagination. I limited the listview to 1 or 2 items and pagenumbers show up at the bottom of the list but there aren't hyperlinks. Does anyone know how to do that

My clients reports to me that his DMX administrator can't see the documents loaded by other employees.
The DMX manager has administrator priviledges but he is not able what other colleagues are loading into the site.
Where should I start diagnosing the problem
Do the colleagues have to setup special permissions in each document or folder in order that the admin see their documents
What can be wrong
They have version 5.0.0 installed.
